Money at the desk

  • A pre-authorisation is taken on your card at check-in to cover incidentals; the hotel says release times vary by bank.
  • Major credit cards and EFTPOS are accepted; UnionPay is accepted at reception for hotel guests.
  • Food and drink, including room service, carry a 10% Sunday surcharge and a 15% public-holiday surcharge. The hotel calls this indicative and subject to change.
  • There is an ATM on site, per the corporate features list.

Bookings, changes and cancellations

The hotel's FAQ says cancellation terms depend on the rate: flexible rates allow cancellation within set timeframes, non-refundable rates are stricter. Changes are possible subject to the rate and availability. The hotel also says it offers price matching on eligible lower rates and recommends booking direct. We tell you this because it is true and because our desk works with the hotel's own reservations as well as booking partners — see how we earn.

Dress code

Wrest Point asks every visitor to be neat and tidy. Not allowed: hoodies or helmets over the head in gaming areas, offensive slogans, bikie colours, untidy or unclean clothes or shoes, swimwear, dirty shoes. The Point adds smart casual — no athletic wear, sporting uniforms or ripped clothing, and no shorts or sleeveless t-shirts for men.

Safety and services

Keycard access, smoke detection, CCTV in public areas and staff on duty around the clock, according to the FAQ. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited across the property. Dry-cleaning can be arranged through an outside provider for a fee, and the team will book restaurants, transport and tours on request.

Families and extra beds

Cots and rollaway beds are subject to availability and room type, and fees may apply. Interconnecting rooms exist in selected categories. Ask when you request the room, not on arrival.

Nothing in our request form takes payment. The hotel or booking partner confirming your stay will handle deposits and card details under its own terms.
