The room page sells this one on dusk and dawn, which is fair: from the upper floors of a tower standing on a point in the river, the water is in front of you whichever way the window faces east. The hotel describes far-reaching views and the king bed as pillow-topped. What it does not publish is the size; the twin version of the same outlook is listed at 30 m², but we will not assume the king matches.
How it compares with its neighbours
Against the Deluxe Mountain King, this room swaps the kunanyi / Mt Wellington outlook for the water at a published "from" difference of $25 a night. Against the Harbour Suite, you lose the lounge, the dressing room and the bath for $80 less. Against the Water Edge King, you trade being near the water for being above it — Water Edge is a 4-star room on the shore, this is a 4.5-star room in the Tower.
Noise and height
Wrest Point's own guidance is that higher floors on the mountain side are generally quieter. That is the other side of the building from this room. We have no published information suggesting harbour-side rooms are loud; it simply means that if sleep is your priority over the view, the hotel itself points elsewhere.
