Self-exclusion
Wrest Point runs a self-exclusion program — the hotel says to ask one of its security officers. Anglicare Tasmania says its Gamblers Help counsellors can arrange a self-exclusion order that bars you from gambling areas in Tasmania.
The hotel's own guidance
Wrest Point's responsible gambling page describes gambling as a form of entertainment that becomes a problem when it stops being fun or starts affecting other parts of your life, and gives these rules:
- Never gamble with borrowed money.
- Only spend what you can afford.
- Set a limit and stick to it.
- Never try to win back losses after reaching your limit.
- Listen to family and friends — they may see something you do not.

Gaming floors at Wrest Point are 18+ only, and valid photo ID may be required.
