The Birdcage opened with the casino and the hotel still sells it on that history: bold design, cocktails, dancing, and an invitation to dress up a little. For groups of 12 or more it offers a cocktail-inspired high tea served in a birdcage, booked at least seven days ahead — almond and brandy financier and a coconut Malibu barrel are among the items listed, finished with a cocktail called the Birdie Blush.
The Green Room Bar — weekends only
Open Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 1am, the Green Room is the old-school cocktail and dancing room. The published entertainment listings show DJs from about 9.30pm to 12.30am. The venue page mentions a weekend early-evening cocktail offer; we leave offers to the hotel. Groups can take part of the room for up to 50 or the whole room for up to 200 — but not on Friday or Saturday.
Casino Bar — inside the gaming room
Open from midday (until 1am Sunday to Thursday, 3am on Friday and Saturday), this bar sits in the casino with views across the lawns to the Tasman Bridge. It has live music, and sport on screens. Because it is on the gaming floor, it is 18+ only. We mention it for completeness; this guide does not cover gaming beyond the factual page on the casino.
Boardwalk Bar — on the water, early to very late
The longest hours of the four: from 11am every day (10.30am on Saturday) until 2am, and until 3.30am on Friday and Saturday nights. It serves drinks, casual meals and bar snacks, has TAB facilities and shows sport. The hotel's separate sports page also points sport fans to the big screen at Boardwalk Café.
Which bar, when
