The short version
When you send a room request through this site and it turns into a confirmed stay at Wrest Point, the hotel or the booking partner that completes the reservation pays us a commission. You do not pay us anything — not for the request, not for the advice, not if you cancel.
How a request becomes a stay
- You send the form — your name, email, dates, guests, the room you are leaning towards, any notes.
- Our booking desk reads it and checks availability and the current rate with Wrest Point's reservations team or with a booking partner.
- We email you what is available, at what rate, and on what terms — including whether breakfast is included and what the cancellation rules are.
- If you want it, you confirm with the party making the booking. Card details go to them, never to us.
- If you stay, they pay us a commission afterwards. If you do not, nobody pays anything.
What the commission does not change
- Your rate. We pass on the rate we are quoted. The hotel says it price-matches eligible lower rates and that booking direct gets its best available rates; if booking direct suits you better, we will tell you so.
- Our opinions. The verdict and the room notes would read the same if we earned nothing. We point light sleepers away from the harbour side because the hotel itself says the mountain side is quieter.
- The facts. Every number links to its source. Commission cannot make a room bigger.
What we do not do
- We do not take payments or card details.
- We do not sell or promote gambling of any kind, and we earn nothing from the casino.
- We do not accept payment for reviews, and there are no paid placements on this site.
- We do not sell your details. See the privacy note.
