This note explains how Tower on the Derwent (carnevaleacireale.info) handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The publisher responsible is Mariann Shawaiki, Frankfurt am Main, Germany; contact [email protected].
What we collect
Only what you type into a room request form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), number of guests, arrival and departure dates, the room you are interested in, your message, and your consent. The form also records which page you sent it from. We do not ask for or store payment details.
Why
To answer your room request: to check availability and rates and to email or call you about it. We use your details for nothing else and do not add you to marketing lists.
Who sees it
- Our booking desk.
- Wrest Point's reservations team or a booking partner, when we check availability for you and you ask us to proceed. They then handle your booking under their own privacy policies.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our behalf. The site runs on a server in Sydney, Australia; email may be processed outside Australia.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
This site loads Google Tag Manager after you interact with the page or a few seconds after it loads. Tag Manager may set cookies and send data to Google for measuring visits and the success of our advertising — for example, recording that a request form was sent. You can block these cookies in your browser; the site keeps working.
Google Maps
Maps on this site are provided by Google Maps. On the getting there page the map is embedded, so Google receives your IP address and may set cookies when that page loads. On the front page the map loads only after you press "Show the map". Links marked "Open in Google Maps" or "Directions" take you to Google's own site.
How long we keep it
Request records are kept only as long as we need them to handle the request and any resulting commission and accounting records, and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes
We will update this note if our practices change. Last updated 29 October 2026.
